Chamber: World Migratory Bird Day Virtual Presentation

May 13, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Come bird watch with us as we celebrate the World Migratory Bird Day and work to identify migratory bird species in the Cape Perpetua region and  nearshore and forest habitats. Your participation will help in our efforts to catalogue and track the variety of migratory birds along the Oregon’s coastal landscape.

Join us for a virtual presentation about migratory birds in Oregon by CJ McCarty, Oregon Coast Aquarium’s curator of birds, on May 13th at 5:30pm. You can register here.
Then, join the global celebration of World Migratory Bird Day – get out there and observe birds on the Oregon coast!
Staff and viewing scopes will be available at 11am at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (Must pay admission), Cape Perpetua Overlook, and Heceta Head Lighthouse. Additionally, we invite you to upload your bird observations to iNaturalist.
If you need an idea of where else to observe birds, here is a list of birding spots on the central Oregon coast:
This event is free but bring your raincoat and binoculars!
