Learning Lab: Pyrography 101

In this workshop, you will learn how to safely use a woodburning tool and interchangeable tips, to create intricate designs that can be used to make pendants, earrings, decorated box tops, personal items, fine art and more. Basic tools, materials and personalized instruction included; you’re welcome to also bring your own equipment and materials if you choose.

About the Instructor: Sharon “Sunny” Hatter is a graphic and fine artist, illustrator and crafter with a passion for sharing her expertise with her favorite media. She has been involved with the Florence fine arts community and sharing her skills for many years, and has been teaching with SASS since 2024.

SASS Learning Labs are an approachable and fun way to learn something new, get technical help and support on your ongoing projects, build skills, and enjoy creating with others. All basic tools and materials are provided; you are also welcome to bring your own.

Each week, we will offer a different, rotating menu of traditional and digital creative media to try out. Experienced artists will be on hand to provide instruction, one on one guidance, and inspiration.
