Learning Lab: Watercolor Pencil Workshop

Watercolor pencils with water brushes are a fun, portable way to blend drawing and painting, letting you practice your creative skills anywhere. This class will teach you how to work with this medium, and provide plenty of time for practice, tips and tricks for WC Pencil and ways to enhance in your designs with waterproof media, plus tube and pan watercolors. Basic tools, materials and personalized instruction included; you’re welcome to also bring your own supplies if desired.

About the Instructor: Sharon “Sunny” Hatter is a graphic and fine artist, illustrator and crafter with a passion for sharing her expertise with her favorite media. She has been involved with the Florence fine arts community and sharing her skills for many years, and has been teaching with SASS since 2024.

Our Learning Lab series offers an approachable and fun way to learn something new, get technical help and support on your ongoing projects, build skills, and enjoy creating with others. All basic tools and materials are provided; you are also welcome to bring your own.

Each week, we will offer a different, rotating menu of traditional and digital creative media to try out. Experienced artists will be on hand to provide instruction, one on one guidance, and inspiration.
