DESCRIPTION:Join TKO as we work to restore the Gwynn Creek Trail surface using grubbers\, digging tools\, and (bent over) shovels.\n\nREGISTER AT THE LINK BELOW!\n\n\nCrew Leader: Noelle W.\nMax Size of Crew: 12\nHike Distance: 1/2 mile to 1 mile\nElevation Gain: 50 – 100 feet\nHike Intensity: Low\nWork Intensity: Low to Moderate\nWork Type: Tread work and maybe minimal brushing\n  \nProject Information: \nWe will be doing some basic tread maintenance\, using grubbers\, tread tools\, and shovels to restore the surface of the trail. We will work at a gentle pace\, enjoy the forest landscape \, and take some time for lunch. \nHiking information: \nWe will meet at the Neptune State Park Scenic Viewpoint north parking lot before we cross the highway to get on the trail. We will hike to our worksite\, about 1/4 to 1/2 mile in. There are some ups and downs along this trail\, about 50 – 100 feet of elevatain gain. \nYou should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons\, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early. \nEvent details: \nDetailed event information\, including directions to the meeting location\, will be provided to registrants via email 48 hours prior to the event. If you’re volunteering for the first time\, read this blog by a volunteer to know what to expect at your first trail party. \nWhat to bring: \n\nPlenty of water\nSnacks/lunch\nWork gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)\nAny medications or emergency supplies you may need\nSunscreen + insect repellent\nA pack to bring all of this with you on trail\nTKO provides all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hats\, gloves\, glasses)\nNeed gear? TKO has clothes\, boots\, camping gear\, and more available for loan.
