DESCRIPTION:May 12 PFLAG Meeting: It’s “Get Ready” Time \nWith the Rhody Parade coming right up May 18\, PFLAG will spend some time getting “Ready to “Rhody\,” and plan for June and July events at its regular monthly meeting\, May 12 at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall of Florence United Methodist Church\, 2nd and Kingwood. \nPFLAG\, which has been active in Florence since 2011\, is a member of the Florence Area Community Coalition and the Chamber of Commerce. Its supporters have marched in the Rhody Parade for a dozen years\, in the Yachats La-de-da Parade with PFLAG-Oregon Central Coast of Newport for six years\, and in the Florence Pride proclamation at City Hall for two years. It is hoping to participate with a booth at the Florence Farmer’s Market this summer\, and was invited to table at the Oregon Bach Festival premiere of “Considering Matthew Shephard” at the Hult Center in Eugene June 28.
