DESCRIPTION:Blessing of the Animals at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church \nDo all dogs go to heaven? From Noah’s Ark\, where animals were gathered by God’s command\, to the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer\, which includes prayers for animals\, scripture and tradition remind us that creatures great and small matter to God and to us. \nIn that spirit\, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Florence\, Oregon\, invites the community to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday\, October 4\, at 2:00 p.m. The service will be held in the church’s labyrinth area at 2135 19th Street. \nPets of all kinds—whether they have claws\, paws\, fins\, or feathers—are welcome to receive a blessing. Please bring leashes or cages to help keep everyone safe. A small reception will follow.\nFor more information\, call 541-997-6600.
