SUMMARY:Weed Walk at Miller Park
DESCRIPTION:Managing weeds in home gardens can be a challenge\, especially when weeds have already become established. This workshop will cover what makes a plant a weed and general weed management strategies for home gardeners. Participants will learn how to identify and manage about ten of the most common and threatening types of weeds that occur in the Florence area. We will focus on weeds that are actively growing at this time of year. \nThe workshop will start with a brief introductory presentation followed by a walk around Miller Park to observe weeds. The walk will be along paved or gravel pathways and up to about half a mile.
