DESCRIPTION:Join the City of Florence for the 2026 Community Scavenger Hunt! The City is utilizing GooseChase to encourage exploration of the Florence Community. This year’s Community Scavenger Hunt is sponsored by the Central Oregon Coast Board of Realtors. Thank you! \nThe game will go live on Friday\, July 3\, at 8 a.m. and close on Sunday\, July 19\, at midnight. These dates encompass both the Fourth of July holiday and the 2026 Florence Community Block Party on Friday\, July 17. \nHow it Works:\nComplete the missions to earn points! The top three to five players with the most points will receive a Florence Swag Bag. \nOur community scavenger hunt will have three types of missions: \n\nKnowledge Missions: Participants will have the opportunity to answer questions and riddles.\nPhoto Missions: Photo missions will direct participants to take photos at the Block Party\, with members of our community\, at Florence landmarks\, or just doing fun activities.\nVideo Missions: The video missions challenge participants to complete fun videos at the Block Party\, with members of our community\, or at Florence landmarks\, at home\, or around the community.\nBonus Missions: We have incorporated some special bonus opportunities in the photo and video missions. DESCRIPTION:Yes\, there is such a thing as a free lunch. The Florence Methodist church has been providing a free lunch to anyone who wishes to come every Tuesday and Thursday for over 30 years. Come enjoy a fresh-cooked meal in our dining room. Lunch is served from 11:30 to 12:30 every Tuesday and Thursday. We are located at 333 Kingwood St. in the Florence United Methodist Church (the yellow church). Everyone is invited. Come and bring a friend. \n(Note: Lunch is served 11:30-12:30. Don’t know why under “recurring events” it says 8:00)

DESCRIPTION:City Club of Florence welcomes Florence ORganizes as its July 2026 Guest Speaker.\n\nFlorence ORganizes (FOR): “Stronger Together\, Building Community.”\n\nJoin FOR coordinators Nora Kent\, Lisa Walter and Priscilla Washington as they share FOR’s history and how their group has evolved over the years by maintaining their commitment to the greater good of the community. FOR supporters will also come and share their positive experiences.\n\nThe City Club is a nonpartisan\, civic discussion group that meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:30pm in the Bromley Room of the Siuslaw Public Library. Each month features a different guest speaker\, who answers questions from the audience following their presentation. \nCity Club meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are later broadcast on KXCR-FM 90.7 community radio. The Siuslaw Public Library does not sponsor the City Club or endorse the views of guest speakers.
