DESCRIPTION:Prepare yourself (with notebook\, pens\, laptop\, wallet\, large shopping bags\, and your enthusiasm!) for a day devoted to books\, reading\, learning\, audio recording\, and connecting with other bibliophiles.\nThe Florence Arts\, Culture & Entertainment (FACE) Team proudly presents the 15th Annual Florence Festival of Books — all in one day on Saturday\, September 26th!  Come meet 40+ local and regional authors and exhibitors\, discover new books and genres\, learn about hybrid/ indie/ DIY publishing\, record and take home a two-minute audio piece\, and become part of Florence’s vibrant coastal writing community.  Students 18 and under are free with parents; all others pay a very modest entry fee at the door for a full slate of events (Keynote Speaker\, FIVE writing/ speaking workshops/ Authors Conversation\, and advice from publishing experts. DESCRIPTION:VINTAGE TRAILER OPEN HOUSE RETURNS TO FLORENCE \nCome to Florence and “roll-retro” during the 9th annual Goin’ with the Flo Vintage Trailer Rally and Community Open House. \nDozens of kitschy-campy vintage travel trailers will be decked out for public viewing at Heceta Beach RV Park\, 4636 Heceta Beach Rd (at the intersection with Rhododendron Dr.)\, Saturday\, September 26\, 2026. The free\, family-friendly event runs from noon to 3:00 p.m.  \n“This is about celebrating the spirit of vintage camping and the artistry of restoration\,” said organizer Terry Hankins. “The trailers are all so different. Some quite rare and have such interesting histories and enjoy vintage hot rods and cool cars which will be cruising in around noon to stage by the trailers too.” \nSome of the trailers are restored to perfection\, some are still in the careful and loving restoration process. The public is welcome to come meet the owners who love to share about their love for vintage trailer camping\, restoration\, and what it takes to keep these relics on the road.  \n“Florence is known as Oregon’s Coastal Playground for many reasons—golf\, fishing\, crabbing\, sandboarding\, riding the dunes on an ATV; but\, thinking within the context of “retro\,” it is also a super town for antiquing and thrifting. So if you’re thinking of a weekend getaway\, this makes for a great time to come out and play\,” said organizer Terry Hankins.
