DESCRIPTION:PFLAG will meet Monday\, May 11\, at 6 p.m. at Florence United Methodist Church to share plans for upcoming events\, especially the Rhody Festival Parade May 17. A member of the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce\, PFLAG has marched in the Chamber-sponsored parade since 2012\, which was during its first year as a chartered chapter of the national organization. All are invited to bring ideas for decorating the vehicle or volunteering to carry flags and banners.\nPFLAG will continue to participate in special events\, sponsor guest speakers\, and provide support groups throughout the year\, so consider getting involved and making new friends.\nThe meeting should wrap up by 7:30 p.m. As with all PFLAG events\, the meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.\nPFLAG Florence is one of more than 400 chapters in the largest national organization serving the LGBTQ+ community and those who love them.
