While we mosey down the trail\, Dina Pavlis from ODRC will be giving us the history of the Oregon Dunes\, and telling us about the flora and fauna of the area. We will walk at a gentle pace and take some time for lunch. \nHiking information: \nWe will meet at the Oregon Dunes Day Use Area and hike about 2 miles roundtrip. We will drop down onto the dunes\, walk accross them and onto the forest trail out to the beach. \nYou should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons\, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

We will work at a gentle pace\, enjoy the forest landscape\, and take some time for lunch. \nHiking information: \nWe will meet at the Neptune State Park Scenic Viewpoint north parking lot before we cross the highway to get on the trail. We will hike to our worksite\, about 3/4 to 1 mile in. There are some ups and downs along this trail\, about 50 – 100 feet of elevation gain. There is no restroom at the trailhead. Closest ones are a 1/4 mile north at the Cape Pereptua Visitor Center or 1/4 mile south at the Neptune South parking lot. \nYou should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons\, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.
