DESCRIPTION:Good evening\, \nMy name is Alfred Hitchcock\, and I would like to tell you about my forthcoming “Fall Into Hitchcock – the Sequel” film series at City Lights Cinemas in the charming\, peaceful town of Florence\, Oregon. DESCRIPTION:Help the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative and the Siuslaw National Forest celebrate National Public Lands Day\, Saturday\, September 28 from 10 AM to Noon at Heceta Dunes\, north of Florence. Volunteers are needed to remove invasive Scotch broom from one of our “Protect the Best” sites that was designated for its open sand dunes and native plants. This is a family event\, so children are welcome to attend. \nNational Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands. For over three decades\, National Public Lands Day has inspired hundreds of thousands of volunteers to give back to our nation’s public lands. The theme for this year’s celebration is National Public Lands Day: Together for Tomorrow. Join us and help steward America’s natural resources for future generations to enjoy. Be a part of this impactful day and help make a difference in our public lands! \nWear sturdy\, closed-toe shoes for hiking on the sand and bring work gloves\, water\, snacks\, and sunscreen. Bring shovels\, hand saws\, or loppers if you have them. If you don’t\, ODRC will have tools you can borrow. \nDirections: Take Highway 101 north of Florence and turn left on Heceta Beach Rd.\, turn right on 4th Ave. and go to the end\, turn right on Joshua Lane and go to the end. Please do not block driveways or mailboxes. \nThe Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative works to collaboratively support\, guide and promote Oregon dunes restoration and the preservation of the open sand habitat that benefits the plants\, animals and people who live and play in this special place.
