DESCRIPTION:This is a monthly gathering for our Studio creative community to appreciate\, practice\, and explore approaches/techniques in meditative drawing such as Zentangling\, drawing from observation\, “slow” drawing\, Neurographic arts\, and more. Each session\, we will practice our drawing skills together in a supportive and relaxed environment. Also open to members of the public; beginners welcome! \nLed by a creative arts professional\, at each session\, we will explore a new design\, drawing technique or meditative drawing style. Each assignment will be guaranteed to help you get in the “flow”\, and will help you build new perspectives and skills. If you like\, you can also use the time to work on a meditative drawing project of your own\, share with the group\, trade tips and tricks\, and get technical guidance and support from one another and the group leader. \nYou’re welcome to bring your own drawing supplies and reference material to practice with; We will have extra tools and materials on hand as needed. \nDrawing supplies may also be purchased in advance from Beaux Arts art supply store in Florence\, located just off Hwy. 101 in the Coastal Fitness shopping plaza. \nYou may pre-register for this event\, or pay at the desk at time of session. DESCRIPTION:2024 Gingerbread Home Contest \nC.R.O.W. excitedly announces a delicious community contest that anyone can participate in!  To coincide with their upcoming production of the 2024 Holly Jolly Follies\, which is called “Sweet Dreams: A North Pole Nutcracker\,” C.R.O.W. will offer a gingerbread home decorating contest with prizes! \nThe entry fee is $25 per person/family/business with all proceeds supporting C.R.O.W.’s annual non-profit youth arts programming.  Each gingerbread home will have a 14” x 18” maximum space allotment\, and the designer’s name or business will be displayed next to their home. \nC.R.O.W.’s Artistic Director Melanie Heard says\, “What better way to bring joy to everyone who attends the Holly Jolly Follies\, Empty Bowls\, FRAA’s Arts Faire\, the Festival of Trees\, and several other seasonal events at the Florence Events Center.  Put your creativity on display\, and you could win a $100 cash prize for first place!”  Runners up will receive free tickets to CROW events plus other surprises.  Businesses are also invited to donate gift certificates or other prizes to up the ante. \nThe gingerbread homes will be judged by the public.  Voting tickets can be purchased for $1 each or 6 for $5\, and voters can put all of their tickets into their favorite homes’ box\, or spread them out amongst several favorites.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the FEC box office during business hours\, or at the lobby boutique during the Holly Jolly Follies performances. \nFor an entry form\, plus a list of rules and instructions\, please visit www.crowkids.com/gingerbread.  The entry deadline is November 15th\, homes must be dropped off to the FEC on November 25-29th\, and they will be on display for voting through December 15th.  At the end of the contest\, homes will be returned to their designers in time for personal display for Christmas.  Entry space is limited\, so if you know you want to participate\, don’t wait to fill out your entry form online. \n“We encourage everyone to create something deliciously magical\,” says Heard.  Should you have questions\, please send an email to: crowtheatrekids@yahoo.com. \nFor tickets to The 2024 Holly Jolly Follies\, visit call 541-997-1994 or visit www.crowkids.com/holly-jolly-follies

Written Testimony: Citizens are encouraged to submit written comments since it allows the public body an opportunity to review and consider the remarks in advance of the public meeting. The event offers handmade ceramic bowls that will be sold for $15 each (with some bowls available at a lower or higher price). Additionally\, there will be a silent auction featuring artwork from many of your favorite local artists\, including fused glass\, photography\, paintings\, and more.\n\n\nAdmission to the event is free\, and we hope that you can join us!
