The event is scheduled for Saturday April 25th. \nInvasive plants are threatening the natural environment of our local coastal areas. These plants do not belong here and often spread aggressively\, crowding out native vegetation. The resulting loss of natives results in lower quality habitat for birds\, bees\, deer\, and other animals and ivy smothers our trees\, blocking light and competing for water and nutrients. What better way to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day than to be working outside and helping protect our natural areas? \nVolunteers will meet at the new Estuary Trail parking lot where we will form teams to work at different locations within or near the city.
