DESCRIPTION:Yes\, there is such a thing as a free lunch.  The Florence Methodist church has been providing a free lunch to anyone who wishes to come every Tuesday and Thursday for over 30 years.  Come enjoy a fresh-cooked meal in our dining room.  Lunch is served from 11:30 to 12:30 every Tuesday and Thursday.  We are located at 333 Kingwood St. in the Florence United Methodist Church (the yellow church).  Everyone is invited.  Come and bring a friend. \n(Note:  Lunch is served 11:30-12:30.  Don’t know why under “recurring events” it says 8:00)

SUMMARY:Florence Area Community Coalition November "Help for the Holidays" Meeting
DESCRIPTION:FACC’s November meeting features “Help for the Holidays\,” an opportunity for local service providers and organizations to share their holiday plans and events and to reach out to each other and the community for volunteers or other resources to bring holiday help and cheer to area families and individuals. This meeting will feature deadringer “Santa Claus” Lee Bliven II\, who will be coming to PeaceHarbor Peace Health departments and clinics later in the season. He will also discuss Lane County Senior Support Coalition’s Senior Emergency Support Fund.   Working with our local DHS Aging and Disability Resource Connection\, they can provide insurance copayments\, denture or hearing aid repairs\, utility payments to avoid disconnection\, and rent assistence to prevent eviction. \nAll organizations and groups with events are encouraged to attend. Whether you’re able to come or not\, FACC will help share out information about your event. We try to make personal contact with organizers of events of which we’re aware but also encourage you to send your information to Florenceareacc@gmail.com or PO Box 1161\, Florence\, OR 97439 to make sure you are not overlooked. \nFACC welcomes the public at its meetings. Light refreshments are served.  Our meetings are also hybrid and you can connect with ZOOM.
