DESCRIPTION:The Florence Old Town Merchants Collective is proud to announce the debut of Old Town First Fridays\, starting September 4th at 4pm! \nVisit downtown Florence on the First Friday of the month from 4-7pm to enjoy special discounts\, food & drink\, raffles\, live performances\, activities\, and contribute to a rotating donation drive for local charities/nonprofits. This month’s donation partner is Oregon Coast Humane Society\, featuring discounts at their thrift shop on Bay Street\, plus in person visits with the OCHS kitties at various Old Town locations\, including Serene Abundance Studio Space’s “Paint with Cats” drop in activity.  \nLook for “First Friday” window signs at your favorite Old Town businesses! These locations will have walking maps available to help you plan your trip\, and learn what specials or discounts each location will be offering.  \nFirst Fridays are free and all ages\, with parental or guardian supervision. Bring your partner\, friends or the whole family!

SUMMARY:CoastBusters Walk for Breast Cancer
DESCRIPTION:Join CoastBusters for its annual Walk for Breast Cancer on Saturday\, September 26\, 2026\, at Newport High School or Saturday\, October 3\, 2026\, at Siuslaw Middle School in Florence. Registration opens July 1 at CoastBustersWalk.org. \nCoastBusters is a local nonprofit organization founded by breast cancer survivors to support local breast cancer patients and their families throughout Lincoln County and the coastal communities of Lane County. Through community walks and other fundraising efforts\, the organization provides financial assistance for essential expenses such as transportation\, groceries\, rent\, utilities\, and other needs that help ease the financial burden of a breast cancer diagnosis. Funds raised stay local\, and help patients focus on healing.  No one should face breast cancer alone.
