SUMMARY:C.R.O.W Gingerbread Contest Public Voting
DESCRIPTION:2024 Gingerbread Home Contest \nC.R.O.W. excitedly announces a delicious community contest that anyone can participate in!  To coincide with their upcoming production of the 2024 Holly Jolly Follies\, which is called “Sweet Dreams: A North Pole Nutcracker\,” C.R.O.W. will offer a gingerbread home decorating contest with prizes! \nThe entry fee is $25 per person/family/business with all proceeds supporting C.R.O.W.’s annual non-profit youth arts programming.  Each gingerbread home will have a 14” x 18” maximum space allotment\, and the designer’s name or business will be displayed next to their home. \nC.R.O.W.’s Artistic Director Melanie Heard says\, “What better way to bring joy to everyone who attends the Holly Jolly Follies\, Empty Bowls\, FRAA’s Arts Faire\, the Festival of Trees\, and several other seasonal events at the Florence Events Center.  Put your creativity on display\, and you could win a $100 cash prize for first place!”  Runners up will receive free tickets to CROW events plus other surprises.  Businesses are also invited to donate gift certificates or other prizes to up the ante. \nThe gingerbread homes will be judged by the public.  Voting tickets can be purchased for $1 each or 6 for $5\, and voters can put all of their tickets into their favorite homes’ box\, or spread them out amongst several favorites.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the FEC box office during business hours\, or at the lobby boutique during the Holly Jolly Follies performances. \nFor an entry form\, plus a list of rules and instructions\, please visit www.crowkids.com/gingerbread.  The entry deadline is November 15th\, homes must be dropped off to the FEC on November 25-29th\, and they will be on display for voting through December 15th.  At the end of the contest\, homes will be returned to their designers in time for personal display for Christmas.  Entry space is limited\, so if you know you want to participate\, don’t wait to fill out your entry form online. \n“We encourage everyone to create something deliciously magical\,” says Heard.  Should you have questions\, please send an email to: crowtheatrekids@yahoo.com. \nFor tickets to The 2024 Holly Jolly Follies\, visit call 541-997-1994 or visit www.crowkids.com/holly-jolly-follies

Walk with us as we “carry the light” through the longest night of the year\, celebrating the return of the Sun. \nWHERE:1st & Harbor at the Bridgeport Market East entrance\nWHEN: Gather at 4:45\, kicking off at 5:00pm.\nWHO: All Ages\, walk will be wheelchair accessible.  \nExpect to take around 20-40 minutes at a leisurely pace. Event will be held rain or shine\, so make sure to dress for the weather.\nLanterns\, light up toys\, costumery\, music\, song and dance and general merriment are encouraged!\nWe’ll meander along the Boardwalk and through Old Town\, and experience the annual light displays\, with magical discoveries and photo opportunities along the way.\nWe will be returning to Serene Abundance Studio Space on Maple street afterwards for warming up\, cocoa\, cider and socializing.
