DESCRIPTION:  \nYou’re Invited! \nTake a Fresh Look at Youth Art!  \nGala Reception\, April 30th\, 2026: An Artists Reception and Awards Ceremony is planned for April 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM\, with awards announced at 6:00 PM. This all-ages event is free and open to the public\, and visitors will have plenty of time to view the art\, enjoy refreshments\, chat with the artists\, and perhaps purchase one of their works.  \nProceeds from all art sales go directly to the Youth Artists.  \nInfo about the show: \nThe Gallery Committee of Florence Arts\, Culture & Entertainment (FACE)\, is thrilled to announce the 2026 Fresh Impressions Youth Art Exhibition is now open for viewing!  \nThis annual exhibition is a Florence favorite\, showcasing the incredible artistic skills of students at Siuslaw Middle and High Schools as well as area homeschool students.  \nShow Dates: April 1st to May 25th\, 2026. Make it a point to visit the FEC during business hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM\, weekdays) to view this exciting show with over 100 works on display. Galleries One and Five open to the public and admittance is free. Due to private events held at the FEC\, some locations may be temporarily closed to the public. Apologies for any inconvenience. \nFresh Impressions is a wonderful opportunity to embrace\, enrich\, and foster the talents of young artists in the Siuslaw Region. In addition to showcasing their artwork\, both the show and reception encourage them to excel at their studies\, learn what it takes to prepare artwork for a public gallery show\, and discover that — yes — our community really does care about the arts.  \nShow production is supported by art teachers Lauren Suveges (Siuslaw High School) and Christina Ory (Siuslaw Middle School) who have been instrumental in helping students provide art for this exhibit. Funding and other support for this exhibition has been provided by Kiwanis Club of Florence; Florence Arts\, Culture & Entertainment (FACE); Florence Events Center Gallery Committee (Jo Beaudreau\, John Leasure\, Rachel Pearson); Florence Events Center Staff (Tim Mendolia\, Matt Miller\, Kritzia Scaparo); BeauxArts Fine Art Materials\, and the Committee of Random Acts Kindness. \nPlease join us as we celebrate the achievements of these talented young artists! SUMMARY:Elm Park Call for Art Deadline
DESCRIPTION:DEADLINE: June 1st! \nApply Now! \nCall for Art\nElm Park Early Learning Center & Apartments \nElm Park Apartments and Elm Park Early Learning Center\, in partnership with Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) and BeauxArts Fine Art Materials\, is pleased to invite emerging\, mid-career\, and established artists to submit 2D &/or 3D original artwork for their property. \nElm Park Apartments is an affordable rental housing complex located at 1051 Greenwood Street\, and Elm Park Early Learning Center is a co-located four-classroom childcare center at 1001 Greenwood Street. Both are in the City of Florence\, north-west of the City of Florence Justice Center. The property is currently under construction\, with plans to install the art from this call upon completion of construction and the grand opening of the property. Additional information about this project and its impact on our community is listed at the end of the application under Background Information. \nThere are several locations for art on these properties\, and the call requests two types of art. Each location has specific dimensions and particular requirements. \n\n2D works will be purchased and placed in the Elm Park Apartments’ Community Room and Rental Office\, which will welcome visitors and residents\, and in the entry corridor of the Elm Park Early Learning Center\, which will welcome children and parents each morning. \n3D\, up to two possible locations for outdoor sculptural work that will be purchased and installed outside. One east of outside the Community Building and the other between Buildings D & E.\n\nThe Art selected for these locations will provide community pride\, give artists an opportunity to share their art in an area with high visibility and create a sense of place for our community members and visitors.  \nThere will be an Application & Project Presentation about this Call for Art on April 14\, 2026 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the FRAA Creative Center (1458 1st Street)\, right around the corner from the FRAA Gallery.
