DESCRIPTION:UNITED WAY OF LANE COUNTY  \n2023 DAYS OF CARING \n  \nEach year\, United Way mobilizes hundreds of people across Lane County to volunteer with local nonprofits. Organizations benefit from hard-working volunteers\, and volunteers get to enjoy coming together to make a tangible impact in their community! \n  \n\nJoin us for this year’s Days of Caring\, taking place September 21-23\, 2023!   \nVolunteer registration is open NOW! \nClick here to see available projects \n  \nVolunteer Registration: August 14- September 10 \nYou can sign up for projects starting Monday\, August 14\, through end-of-day Sunday\, September 10. \n  \nSigning up for a group? \nPlease note that all group member names must be submitted by September 1. If not\, we will release any held volunteer slots back to the community so that other volunteers can sign up\, and to prevent any last-minute no-shows. We\, and our nonprofit partners\, thank you! \n  \nChoosing your project(s) \nSome projects may fill up fast\, so be sure to sign up as soon as you’re able. We encourage you and your team to pick a few favorites from the list so that if your number one project gets scooped\, you still have other great options to choose from! There are many great projects (over 60!) to choose from\, and our nonprofit partners look forward to having your support! \n  \nSign your Volunteer Release Form \nEvery volunteer will need to fill out and sign a release form BEFORE participating in Days of Caring. Thankfully\, there’s something we can do about it. \nJoin us to learn about the challenges keeping kids from reading proficiently\, meet some of the amazing work happening in to support Florence and Mapleton students\, and learn how you can support literacy efforts for West Lane County readers. \nAt this event\, we’ll hear from: \n\n\nSue Wilson\, Superintendent\, Mapleton School District \n\n\nVanessa Buss\, Executive Director\, Boys & Girls Club of Western Lane County \n\n\nNoreen J.
