Winter Solstice Poetry & Open MIC

Rod Hatter, resident poet and current host of KXCR 90.7’s Florence Radio Poet Society, will lead us in a gathering of the poets to celebrate the season, and our freedom of literary expression.

Our quarterly open MIC’s encourage readers to dive deep, identify and share what is most meaningful and healing in writing, and in our everyday lives. Starting this month, we’re also opening the stage up to storytelling, song and musical performances!

Open members of the public; this is a gathering of adults discussing personally relevant themes, but we don’t have an age restriction. There may be the occasional PG-13 content shared.

Please check out our selection of poetry books for sale in the Gallery while you’re here, and connect with our poets to learn about additional events and offerings.

RSVP to let us know you’re coming! Readings will be conducted in an informal “round robin” format, but it’s good to know how many readers to plan for. You’ll get to share at least 5-10 minutes of your work.
