FACC September 3 Program, City of Florence Public Safety Fee

The  September 3, 2025 meeting of the Florence Area Community Coalition will feature City Manager Erin Reynolds and Assistant Manager Megan Messmer who will be speaking about the newly enacted Public Safety Fee. The Public Safety was adopted by the City Council on June 2, 2025, as Ordinance No. 6, Series 2025, referencing the “growing costs of the resource-intensive public safety services.” The fee, set at an initial rate of $5 per residential unit and $5 per nonresidential unit on developed properties within the incorporated Florence city limit, was first included in the City’s August 2025 utility billings. The rate will increase to $15 a month on January 1, 2026 and to $18 a month on July 1, 2026.If you have questions or comments for them it is a good time to come.
