Florence Zentangle Group

This is a practice group for folks to spend time Zentangling together. Everyone is welcome to try this relaxing and meditative drawing approach – if you can doodle, you can Zentangle!

We begin with introductions for newbies, including a few minutes of basic Zentangle concepts and practices (Experienced Zentangle folks can use this time to warm up, or get a cup of tea or coffee.)

Led by an experienced visual artist, practice time will include at least one new Tangle, medium or approach each session. Participants are also welcome to share and discuss WIP or finished pieces with the group.

Suggested materials to bring include:

-Zentangle tiles, sketchbook, or other materials you’d like to draw on
-drawing pencil
-eraser and tortillon (if using pencil)
-Archival ink pen(s), such as Sakura Micron
-Colored pencils, watercolors, different colored pens (optional)
-Reference books or other sources of inspiration, as relevant
We will also have a variety of drawing tools, materials and source books on hand for those who need them.
