Dear Artists and Friends: At the Florence Regional Arts Alliance we strive to act with compassion and care for everyone we meet. With these guiding principles in mind, and in light of new guidelines regarding the containment of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to close the FRAA Art Center. This closure is effective immediately and will continue until it is deemed safe to open again. We care most about the well-being of each of you, our customers, and our volunteers. Our wonderful artist community encompasses everyone: from young artists to elders and from visitors that have traveled from 35th Street here in Florence to those who have traveled from around the world. By closing for a time, we are encouraging the goal of social distancing and containing the COVID-19 virus. We hope this proactive and precautionary measure will help prevent the spread of illness and maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone who visits our Art Center. During our closure, we will complete enhanced cleaning throughout FRAA so that when we are open again we have a fresh environment for everyone to enjoy. We will make sure this is a healthy place for you to create. We understand that the loss of sales may impact you personally along with our larger art community. The FRAA Board will be working diligently to find ways to minimize the impact and hope that you, our FRAA family, will work with us and support us through those coming efforts. Please stay safe and healthy and keep creating! Sincerely, Kristin Anderson President, Florence Regional Arts Alliance
