Juneteenth Celebration

Come celebrate Freedom Day ! Juneteenth  is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.

We will gather for picnics and socializing  at 12:30pm on Sunday , June 19th at the Florence United Methodist Church at 333 Kingwood St. Our  program will begin at 1pm . Our keynote speaker is Greg Evans, Eugene City Councilor and  LCC Associate Vice President of Equity and Inclusion. We  also will be joined by Florence City Councilor Sally Wantz and  others. Entertainment will be provided by local singer and song writer Sunny Sundstrom and  there will activities for kids!  Midori’s Picnic Bento Boxes  can be preordered .
