Anticipating the death of your pet?
Wondering when if/when to euthanize an ailing pet?
You don’t have to go through this alone.
Come receive and offer understanding and support to others who are coping
with the intense feelings and challenging issues related to pet grief
The group is facilitated by professional counselors/coaches who are animal lovers
with training in griefwork
When: First and Third Thursdays of the month, 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm (starts July 18, 2024)
Where: FUUF Center: 87738 Route 101 at Heceta Beach Rd., Florence, OR
Who: Adults 18 and over
Cost: All are welcome free of charge. “Love donation” requested.
Facilitators:
Judy Dolmatch, MSW, LCSW: Judy has worked as a private practice psychotherapist for over 40 years. She is a facilitator for the Florence Death Cafe, and is certified in pet griefwork.
Dhyan Summers: Dhyan Summers is proud mum to Babu a 12 yr old rescued Shitzu. When she’s not catering to Babu’s every whim she’s a psychotherapist working w individuals and couples. You’ll also find her walking on the beach or trails (typically wBabu) baking, cooking, reading dancing and playing with friends.
K.S. Stanley: MA, Wellness; 20+ years working in animal shelters/rescues; Chapter Leader of the FUUF Animal Ministry, and as such, works to build love, compassion, and justice for animals and people in the Florence community. Has two adorable rescue dogs, Windy & Maizy.
