PFLAG Meeting

April 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free

PFLAG looks at Lane County LGBTQ+ Data
Did you know that Oregon was the US state with the highest proportion of LGBTQ+ people in its population or that about one-quarter of Lane County 6th, 8th, and 11th graders identify as LGBTQ+? These and more than two dozen datapoints collected by the Lane County Department of Health will be presented Monday, April 13, at PFLAG’s monthly meeting, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Florence United Methodist Church.
Broad understanding of the region’s demographics helps non-profits like PFLAG navigate and address issues affecting their families, friends and themselves. Be prepared to take home a wealth of information about this area from this meeting.
As with all PFLAG events, the meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available. If you haven’t attended PFLAG in a while, consider dropping by, meeting with the new leadership team, and hearing about the organization’s initiatives for this year and next. If you cannot attend the meeting, but are interested in programming support, visit the PFLAG Florence website at pflagflorenceoregon.org and hit the donate button.
Florence United Methodist Church is located at the corner of 2nd and Kingwood Streets, one block west of Highway 101. PFLAG Florence is one of more than 400 chapters in the largest national organization serving the LGBTQ+ community and those who love them.
