Studying Micro and Nanoplastics from Land to Sea in the Pacific Northwest

Come attend the meeting of the City of Florence Environmental Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) on Wednesday, April 9th at 3 pm to hear Dr. Susanne Brander discuss the latest regarding microplastics in the Pacific Northwest. Dr Brander received a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Pharmacology from UC Davis in 2011. She is an Associate Professor in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University and also currently serves as a Senior Scientist for the EHS Action Science Initiative. Her focus is on the occurrence and biological effects of stressors, such as micro and nanoplastics, endocrine disrupting compounds, and other emerging contaminants, and climate change, on aquatic and terrestrial organisms.
