The 2023 Community Christmas Basket Project is coordinated by Soroptimist International of Florence. This year’s free distribution will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public at Siuslaw Middle School, 2525 Oak St.
Those who come by for a Christmas Basket will receive a turkey or chicken, pounds of potatoes, carrots, eggs, bread, butter, and all the fixings for a family feast! This is in addition to some additional pantry staples. And delicious cookies! People of all levels of need are encouraged to come to this no-questions-asked community tradition.
All cars must line up on 27th Street between Kingwood and Oak streets. First come, first served.
