The Siuslaw/Western Lane County Seed and Scion Exchange is a free local event open to the public.
There are three main purposes for this event.
1) Encourage and promote individual and regional resilience regarding our local food supply.
2)This event will offer an opportunity for local and regional sharing of seeds and scions collected from and adapted to our local area. This includes sharing and distributing, heirloom seeds, heritage fruits, and developing landraces. We will also hope to offer a selection of fruit tree scions to root or graft. The seed and scion collection and grafting effort is backed by volunteers from the Agrarian Sharing Network.
3) To socialize and connect with others in our community and identify food, farming and gardening related resources and services.
